Keep Watch and Stay Alert

Keep Watch and Stay Alert

It seems as though the times are drawing closer to the return of the Son of Man.
Jesus said no one knows the hour of His return - not even the angels in heaven...Yet, like the seasons, the times themselves would bear witness.

Look around. The world has been changing quickly, almost as if prophecy is unfolding before our very eyes. The Bible tells us not to be afraid, but to keep watch and stay alert. These words aren’t meant to stir fear, but readiness. After all, the Lord did not give us a spirit of fear.

Recently, news broke that Trump signed a “peace treaty” with Israel. In 1 Thessalonians 5:3, Scripture says, “While people are saying, ‘Peace and safety,’ destruction will come on them suddenly.” Those words have been echoing in my heart as I see how swiftly things are moving.

There are also talks of nations implementing digital IDs, claiming it’s for security. Yet, I can’t help but feel this may be part of something larger a system that mirrors what Revelation speaks of: where one cannot buy or sell without the mark on the hand or forehead. Even Sweden has reportedly begun implanting chips in people’s hands.

And just the other night, while at Whole Foods, I noticed something... A palm scanner beside the card readers, allowing payment by simply placing your hand over it. I was disgusted at the very sight of it. We are closer to these prophecies than many realize.

Our Father in Heaven loves us deeply, and His desire is for all to come to repentance. But once a person accepts the mark, Scripture is clear that there is no turning back. These are serious times ahead of us, and they are unfolding fast as the days pass.

Still, God tells us to stand firm, not in fear but in faith. He is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). While the world prepares for false peace, believers must prepare their hearts for the return of the true Prince of Peace.

So keep watch. Stay prayed up. Walk closely with Him. The hour is late, but His mercy still reaches wide.
