Lets Show A Little Kindness

Lets Show A Little Kindness

In a world that already feels so challenging at times, wouldn’t it be beautiful if we could all simply show one another a little kindness?

I know for myself, navigating life isn’t always easy. There are bills upon bills, long workdays that make it feel like time is being swallowed up, and peoplejust being people. And then there’s the internet, where so many seem quick to speak but slow to love, opinionated and unkind without reason.

But the Word reminds us of something powerful. In Galatians 5, we’re taught about the fruits of the Spirit: love, joy, peace, long-suffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Against such things, there is no law.

Have you ever had one of those days where everything feels heavy - when you’re already barely holding it together and then someone crosses your path with a nasty attitude or mean spirit? It stings. But what we so often forget is that everyone we meet is carrying something unseen, some private battle that no one else knows.

That’s why compassion matters. It doesn’t have to be a grand gesture. Sometimes, the smallest act of kindness like a gentle word, a soft smile, a patient heart is a grand gesture in itself.

Lately, I’ve seen so many heartbreaking stories on social media, people hurting one another in unthinkable ways. It’s easy to feel like hope is fading. But I know that with God, all things are possible. His light still shines through the darkness.

So even as the world grows harsher, let’s choose to grow in the Spirit. Let’s resist the pull of the flesh that leads us towards bitterness or cruelty. Let’s be the ones who bring peace, who extends some grace, who always chooses love because in doing so, we reflect Christ Himself.
