A Year of Grace, A Moment of Thanks
Share
As we come to the close of November and look back over this year, I just want to take a moment to reflect on what I’m grateful for.
First and always, I’m grateful for God and my ongoing relationship with Him. I’m thankful for Jesus - for what He did on the cross for me, for my salvation, and for the love that continues to sustain me daily. Even though we are spiritual beings having a human experience, I’m grateful for this experience called life. And with that, I’m comforted knowing this life isn’t all there is - that we have an eternity with Christ waiting for us.
I’m grateful for everything God is doing in my life and everything He has already done. Thank You, Lord, for fighting my battles, and thank You, Jesus, for allowing me to walk in relationship with You. Even on the days when I get caught up in my own world and feel like I’m not doing nearly enough, You give me grace. You give me peace that goes beyond understanding.
I’m blessed to have my family - my mom, sisters, and niece. I’m grateful for my friends and coworkers. I pray for everyone I come into contact with: strangers, those I once knew, and those I still know but no longer speak to. Everyone can benefit from prayer - even those who feel too empty to pray for themselves. It’s a blessing to lift others up until they’re strong enough to stand on their own prayers one day.
I’m thankful for this growing relationship with God and for the new perspective He’s given me on life - how things are, how they’ve been, and how they’re becoming. I’m thankful for every person who has shown kindness, support, or encouragement as I navigate my journey.
Today, I’m praying for my neighborhood, the Bay Area, California, and the world - that we may have a hedge of protection and align ourselves with the Lord’s heart and His divine plan for us all.
As we move forward, may we collectively choose to include Him in our plans. Because His ways are not our ways - they are higher, wiser, and greater than anything we could imagine.
Let’s remain in a posture of gratitude, peace, love, and thanksgiving for our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Happy Thanksgiving.
In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.
