Whatever You Do, Do It for the Lord

Whatever You Do, Do It for the Lord

Whatever you do, do it for the Lord and for the furthering of His kingdom.

Have you ever felt stuck and unsure if things are really working out? Like no matter what you do, nothing ever seems to be enough? Or maybe you feel like you’ll never quite get where you’re trying to go.

If you’ve felt that way, don’t worry - you’re in good company. The Lord is everything that you need.

He really doesn’t ask too much of us. He simply asks that we have a relationship with Him.

Even when things don’t go according to the plans we had in mind, we have a friend in Jesus who sees us and knows exactly what we are going through. Not only that - He already has a solution. The question is: will you keep the faith and trust Him when times get rough?

Think about Job.

As my pastor mentioned in the last service, things became so difficult for Job that even his wife told him to just curse God and die. I’m not going to lie - that was cold. Yet despite everything he faced, Job remained faithful to the Lord.

He said, “The Lord gave, and the Lord hath taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord.” Job 1:21

This reminds us that even when we face adversity after adversity, we should lean on God even more. Just as Job held tightly to his faith, we should hold tightly to ours.

Whether it’s at home, at work, in our personal lives, or even through our finances - everything we do should be done for the glory of God and to further His kingdom, not our own selfish desires.

For example, when you’re at work you might not necessarily be preaching the gospel. But you can still work as if you are doing it for the Lord. Showing up, staying on task, and doing your best without cutting corners - those small actions are ways of putting Him first.

For me personally, when I exercise - like during Pilates or Lagree - I shift my focus from just the workout itself and instead invite God into that moment. I give that time to Him. It may not seem like much to anyone else, but my body is His temple, and caring for it is part of being a good steward of what He has entrusted to me.

It also encourages me to build a deeper relationship with my Father in Heaven in other areas of my life.

Let’s be mindful of what we have and what the Lord has blessed us with, because our blessings come from above.

“Every good and perfect gift is from above…” James 1:17

Use what you’ve been blessed with wisely, because at any moment it could be taken from you.

Give the Lord praise no matter what you are facing - whether it’s good, bad or somewhere in between. He knows exactly what you need. But sometimes you may be in a season where the Lord is testing how you will respond - even in the waiting, even when you feel stuck.

I will keep you all in my prayers. Until next time, Be blessed.
